The La Conner WA “Fables Faire”
(A Festival of Myth & Legend)

This first year is a one-day event, Saturday October 11, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and will be held downtown, at Morris & 1st Streets, La Conner, Washington 98257

This first year, there will be no entry free. All are welcomed & come as you are, OR as your favorite Fable/Myth/Legend! Aragorn! Puck! Shaq! Azeban! Loki! Monkee! Anansi! Hank Aaron, Buttercup/Leia/Galadriel, Baccus, William Marshall … or ???

The Washington Shakespearean Festival will be there with their TWO traveling stages (The Glob, and The Globette). The BomBARDS (The Shakespearean Improv Troupe) and Soccs & Buskin Ren Faire Band will be performing. There will be open times available for members of the public to take the stages with a song or story, a performance or a comic bit. Members of various historical re-creation societies will be demonstrating the arts and crafts, the armor and clothing, the music and the games from History.

Come dance the MayPole, join in a Round, try your hand at spinning wool, visit the many local merchants and eateries (and brew houses) in La Conner. Spend the night before at one of the super comfortable hotels, and visit the rest of this magic Skagit Valley on the way to and from.

Under two hours north of Seattle, come and enjoy your day visiting the wonderful magical Renaissance and every story you have ever loved.

Bring the Magic and we will blend the spells together.

Exciting News! Lampstand Theatre will be bringing their wonderfully odd & delightful production of “A Midsummer Tide’s Dream” to The La Conner Fables Faire. Top off your day of Myth & Legend with this entertaining (and educational) ROMP of a comedy that would beset Shakespeare himself with giggling!.
